‘Twas The Night Before Christmas

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the land,
Not a birther was stirring, nor taking a stand.
Their lawsuits were filed in many a court,
Having faith they weren’t of a frivolous sort.

They hoped that a judge would grant their request,
To bring somehow Obama’s arrest.
They claimed him a liar a fraud and a cheat,
Who got to the White House on purely deceit.

Throughout the year they’d made claim after claim,
But all of their cases ended the same.
No evidence, no grounds, no one had standing,
But that didn’t stop their constant demanding.

The harder they tried the less they succeeded,
Courtroom to courtroom their claims went unheeded.
But that won’t impede their endless plight,
Removing that usurper from their sight.

And so as we settle this Christmas Eve,
Wondering what next they will pull from their sleeve.
We’re hoping for more of the fun that we’ve had,
Watching silly fools who are raving mad.

Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!
